In this scenario, before terminating services, I would schedule a meeting with the family to discuss services and what is required to have successful outcomes. I would discuss and reiterate with the family that they signed a service agreement prior to starting which included all parties' responsibilities. Code 3.04 states before services begin, behavior analyst discuss with relevant stakeholders understand their role and what the service entails then having them sign an agreement before beginning. I would also explain to the mother that behavior analyst have a responsibility to ensure we are providing effective treatment and have an obligation to prioritize the client's rights as stated in Code 2.01. It is crucial to child success for the mother to collect data to analyze whether the treatment plan is effective or not. If the mother continues to not collect data, then it is our responsibility to ensure we take the correct steps to discontinue services. Code 3.15 states behavior analysts also include circumstances to discontinue services in the service agreement they have signed. In this situation, after taking steps to get the mother to collect data and does not collect data then the behavior analyst can terminate services as the stakeholders
