In Unit 10 you learned about various dispute resolution techniques. For this week's project, you will focus on the one assigned chapter. Below, you will find three specific questions, which will give you the opportunity to explain what you have learned over this unit.

Please answer each question fully. The responses can be primarily supported by the book, though you may use outside sources to supplement and support the answers out of the chapter.

The project should be 2-3 pages (600-800 words), excluding cover page and references. This means roughly 200-250 words per response. As they are three separate questions, you can number them separately. You can have one Reference page for the entire project (if using APA citation format). If using Bluebook, you can treat it as one long document, for citation purposes.

1. Barkan discusses four different individual factors that impact the desire or ability to resolve disputes. Identify and explain three of the four individual factors described in the chapter reading.
2. The chapter provides two separate typologies for dispute resolution, as espoused by two different teams of experts. Select one of the two typologies; identify the experts and explain the stages of dispute resolution.
3. Many argue that America is a very litigious society. Based upon the chapter reading, what factors have been evaluated and have been used to support this conclusion? Articulate a response that identifies and explains four factors.
