Individual Assignment: Stakeholder Mapping Understanding the Assignment: Pick an oil-related company which is active in any of the oil operations at the Alberta oil sands. Clarify their services, issues, critical stakeholders, potential areas where risks or crises could occur, especially issues that the company might be facing at the oil sands, for instance air, water, or soil pollutions, indigenous issues, etc. Ask yourselves who the key stakeholders might be there. Now imagine, you are their consultant, UCW Consultants. The company has asked you to prepare a stakeholder mapping and classification report with the following features: 1. Identification of 4 key stakeholders that could potentially become problematic or already are. (We are not interested in non-problematic stakeholders. Nor is this a sales and marketing tool.) 2. Plot them on the matrix of interest/power 3. Present their significance (why the stakeholder is important), issues, and danger in a table or otherwise. 4. Tell us which position/stance we should have on each of the areas that we could have with the stakeholder. Our positions must be compatible with our core values. NOTE: 1. You can do the assignment well only after watching the videos of class. 2. You are expected to do all the required readings as per your syllabus. 3.
