Due to these delays, there has been 20% reduction in the sales of the train tickets as some customers have been switching to competitors. To customers' opinion, more than half of the trains are delayed when arriving at the end station. Also, the customers believe that more than 30% of the trains are departing stations earlier than the scheduled time. Hence, after consulting with the company's experts, the CEO of TrainCo is setting the following objectives for the Six Sigma project team: 1. ARRIVAL TIME: The delay when arriving at the end station (NYC or Schenectady) should not be more than 15 minutes, compared to the time table. Early arrival is acceptable. Required Yield >90%. 2.
