1 ) Form your project group and select a company to work on/or decide to work on your university;

Define the mission and major processes of selected company or university

Contact 2 people who uses information systems in the company/university

List their positions

List the systems they use

Define the business functions they perform

2) For your selected company/university ;

Define a problem/improvement opportunity in one of the selected processes

Using a fishbone, identify the causes of your problem/opportunity

3) For your selected company/university ;

Think of all tasks that may solve your problem or take advantage of the opportunity

Create a WBS to show all tasks, their duration and predecessors

4) Conduct one of the following to find out what people think about your problem or opportunity and how you can enrich your project tasks to solve your problem or opportunity

Design a questionaire

Conduct an interview

5) Draw a context diagram and a Level 0 DFD to represent the information system for your project work

6) Draw a Use Case Diagram showing boundaries , actors and use cases for your project work

7) Evaluate and describe alternatives,(Advantages and Disadvantages of each option)for your project work

8)Design an Input & Output layout and specify technologies to be used for your project work

9) Draw an ERD (Entity Relationship Diagram) to represent the information system or part of information system for your project work

10. Define/Draw the system architecture for your project work
