Information Security (INFOSEC) and Communications Security (COMSEC). These countermeasures can be defined by exactly what they sound like. According to the course work, INFOSEC is referred to by three pillars: confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Often strictly thought of as computer security, INFOSEC entails data in all forms such as books, reports, imagery, and electronic data (Prunckun and Goldman 2012). Whereas COMSEC is the process of securing the data or signal being pushed out, as well as the physical security of the devices used for operations. The fundamentals of COMSEC include Telephone Wiring, Cordless and Cellular Telephones, Facsimile Machines, Two-Way Radio Systems and encrypting communications systems. Most of us with military backgrounds are very familiar with both INFOSEC and COMSEC. COMSEC seems to always be the headache when making SP times in the Army (my personal joke, it's normally Joes fault and not Commo folks).

I want to focus on how corporate intelligence and espionage affect U.S. National Security. Throughout this entire lesson, all I can think about is the Critical Infrastructure (CI) of Critical Manufacturing.
