Instructions and Due Date This is an in-class exercise. You should create a physical database and upload a document or image with an ER model. Answer the questions below. Questions You have a collection of relations that need to be normalized. The data that needs to be normalized is: - Employee (employeeld, name, birthdate, jobid, title, salaryhistoryid, salary date, salary, dependentid) - Job History (jobID, title, salaryhistoryid, salary date, salary) - Salary History (salaryhistoryld, salary date, salary) - Dependents (dependentid, name, birthdate, dependent type) 1. Provide a diagram showing a model that (you can submit image of hand drawn document or use Word, Google Docs, Lucidchart or tool of your preference and upload): a. Normalizes the relations into the third normal form b. label the relationships and cardinality between the new tables and existing tables. You may use Crow notation, Chen notation or just write it out (e.g. optional zero to many, mandatory one to many, etc) c. Show the degree - binary, unary or ternary of the relationships d. Determine datatypes for each domain/column e. Submit the diagram in blackboard. 2. Create the new database table (s) in your physical database (optional)
