For this assignment, there will be two parts to the submissions: a written part, and
a Matlab script part.
For the written part, explain how you arrive at the linear systems, write out the
systems, and write out the solutions after solving. The written part will be half part of
the main grade. This written part must be submitted in a single PDF file. You may use
a writing tablet, or write the answers neatly on paper and scan using your phone or a
scanner. There are many free scanner apps, but if you don't know any, talk to me.
For the Matlab part, submit a script with any work you use Matlab for. The Matlab
script itself will not be graded, but it will help me see where you went wrong. Finally,
Compress Matlab and PDF files by any apps (zip, rar) and upload it.2 Traffic Flow at Intersections
Suppose we have the following traffic diagram, with arrows being the flow of traffic. The
values, as well as the unknowns x1,x2,x3,x4, are the number of cars per minute.
The rule is that, at each intersection, the amount of cars entering has to equal the
amount of cars exiting.
Set up a system of 4 equations, each to balance the amount of cars at each intersection,
to solve for x1,x2,x3,x4. This system also has many solutions.
Solve in mathlab using basic coding as well as explain what each line is doing and summerize the problem
