Prepare an L1, L2, and L3 Process Flow for the scenario

Scenario

In this project, you are helping to build an online eStore for customers to order flamingos and other lawn accessories from Wide World Importers. The process is currently initiated when customers call sales representatives directly; these representatives use Microsoft Excel to fill out order forms that are manually input into the system. You have met with stakeholders and elicited an overview of the new process they want, as follows, starting with the high-level description.

Product managers will build a product catalog including all of the available flamingos and lawn accessories. The marketing team will add pricing to the catalog. A customer will come to the eStore to buy products. The supply chain team will manage inventory in their own application.

You break down the step in which a customer buys products from the eStore. A customer browses the catalog, finds products of interest, and adds them to a cart. The customer submits the order, and a sales representative sends an email message to the customer and waits for the customer to update the order; otherwise the sales representative processes payment for the order. The representative makes sure the product ships. The customer receives a confirmation email message, which also triggers the step in the process for updating inventory.

Finally, you can put more detail around how the sales representative verifies that there is enough information on the order. The sales representative submits the credit card payment information for approval and notifies the supply chain to ship the order if the payment is approved. If it is not approved, the customer gets an email message and submits new payment information to try again.
