You are working for a training center that trains people to qualify for a variety of jobs in manufacturing and technology. Marilyn Cosgrove, the director of the center, wants to organize the centers employees into teams. She has created the list of team rules shown in Figure B-15 that teams can use as a starting point. Analyze these rules, and then list which ones are strong and which are weak. Explain your decisions of each.

Team ground rules:

• Treat other team members with respect
• When making decisions, majority rules
• No interruptions at team meetings
• Invite coworkers you like to join the team
• The team meets occasionally
• Listen to discussions with an open mind
• Smaller groups of 12 members can meet to discuss team topics
• Each person can have a chance to speak
• Team activities have a higher priority than anything else at work
• Be brief and stick to the topic
• Conflict is discouraged
• Any conflicts that arise will be presented to management
• Provide possible solutions when describing problems
