Instructions:

Select an entry-level position within your area of study (Human Resources Coordinator). This position will be general in scope, and you will be reporting to a mid-level manager.Note: marks will be deducted if it is not a realistic position for someone having just graduated - do not choose Director, etc.

Submit a discussion board post overviewing the job design of an entry-level job of your choice. You can reference existing job postings online for general research; however, your draft job design must be your own ideas and in your own words. Be sure to incorporate competencies that are required.

Note: while you are encouraged and need to research real job postings, the information you submit is created yourself.

Reference all external material used. Ensure you review the AI referencing information at the end of this document.

Create an outline for what the job will look like, some of the tasks that will be conducted, competencies that will be required, and the educational requirement. This outline will be developed into a job posting in the second part of the assignment. Use a combination of full-sentences and bullet points.

In your discussion post, please include:

• Summary of the job you chose and why (keep this brief)
• The job title
• 2-3 line overview of the position
• Minimum education requirements
• Three job tasks that are part of the role
• Seven competencies, which must include:
  • Two behaviours that are expected to be displayed in this position
  • Two skills - one soft and one technical
  • Three abilities problem-solving, etc.
• Include at least three other points that you believe are important from a job design perspective for this position. This can be anything from your research and our class discussions
