INSTRUCTIONS:

This assessment has FOUR (4) question.

You are required to:

a. Answer ALL questions.

b. ALL questions must be performed in JASP

c. note; all JASP input files and output tables should be provided 3. ONE member of each group is responsible for making the submission of the Assignment in the drop box provided.

4. EACH student is required to complete and submit a peer review form. Failure to do so will result in 10%

penalty for the group assignment.

5. Peer review form contributes 5% to the final course grade. 6. Each member of a group will be awarded the grade given for work submitted by the group. The points awarded

to each member on the peer evaluation forms will then be added to the group grade each member received.

Question 1

The Massimo Group of companies is interested in determining the level of staff satisfaction. They have engaged a firm to conduct this analysis. Employees were provided with a survey and asked to rate the importance of the elements on a scale of 1 - 10. The elements of the survey are: feedback, recognition, happiness, relationship with peers, relationship with management, satisfaction, work culture, growth opportunities, work life balance and communication. The data table which shows the results of this survey can be found in the sheet labelled "Question 1".

Using the data in the file provided perform:

(i) A principal components analysis in JASP Interpret the output. [3 marks]

(ii) A maximum likelihood factor analysis in JASP. (do not use the factor solution from part (i))

Question 2

ABL motors has hired a consultant to determine if the CO2 emissions and diesel consumption of automobiles differ based on the number of engine cylinders in that automobile. You collect data on diesel consumption of an automobile (fuel), the CO2 emissions of an automobile (CO2) and the number of cylinders in the automobile engine (cylinders), either 4, 8, or 10. The dataset includes 300 observations.

The data with the results can be found in the sheet labelled "Question 2".
