Write a formal professional report, documenting all steps and replying to the questions clearly and neatly. Submit a PDF document. The questions below should be used as a logic sequence for writing your report. (Do not simply reply to the questions, you will have points taken away for that.)
Consider the five-bus power system illustrated below. The network parameters are given in Tables 1 and 2. Assume the power base is 100 MVA and the base voltage at bus 1 is 23 kV , at buses 2,3,4 and 5 is 230 kV and 18 kV at bus 6.
Table 1: Generator Limits.
\table[[Bus,PGmin(p.u), p.u),QGmin(p.u),QGmax(p.u)],[1,0,4.5,-5.0,5.0],[6,0,3.2,-4,4]]
Table 2: Line input data.
\table[[\table[[Bus-to-],[Bus]],R (p.u), p.u), p.u), p.u),\table[[Maximum],[MVA (p.u)]]],[2-3,0.01,0.1,0,0.012,1.5],[2-4,0.0074,0.02,0,0.1,3.0],[3-5,0.0062,0.037,0,0.076,2.2],[4-5,0.0127,0.064,0,0.128,1.0]]
Table 3: Transformer input data.
\table[[\table[[Bus-to-],[Bus]],R (p.u),X (p.u), p.u), p.u),\table[[Maximum],[MVA (p.u)]]],[1-2,0.002,0.02,0,0,5.0],[5-6,0.012,0.01,0,0,4.5]]
Consider initially the system is under a light loading scenario, as described in Table 4.
Table 4: Light load scenario
\table[[Bus,V(p.u),(deg),PGi(p.u),Q ?Gi(p.u),PLi(p.u),Qui(p.u)],[1,1,0,-,-,0,0],[2,-,-,0,0,0.2,0.12],[3,-,-,0,0,0.5,0.3],[4,-,-,0,0,0.92,0.28],[5,-,-,0,0,0.3,0.2],[6,1.01,-,1.2,-,0,0]]
For each bus i , inform the type and determine which of the variables Vi,,i,Pi and Qi, are known - with their respective values - and which ones are unknowns.
Create the system in Power World and find the power flow solution using N-R algorithm. Include a screenshot of the program in the Edit Mode (i.e. when you are done creating the system) and in the Run Mode.
Report the bus and line status for the system using tables. For bus information include the voltage magnitude (both in kV and p.u), phase angle(in degrees), the load (in MW and Mvar) and the generation (in MW and Mvar). For the branches (lines and transformers) include the flow (in MW and MVar), the MVA limits, how loaded each branch is (in %) and the losses (in MW and MVar).
