Read CH 7 and CH 8, then make a clear connection between one concept from each chapter, offering a specific example to help clarify this connection. Total written content should be at least 300 words.

Title: Name both concepts in bold font

Paragraph 1: Name and define the concept from CH 7, either using a direct quote (in quotations) or writing it in your own words (without quotations). Cite the page number in-text using MLA style. Go beyond the book definition to create a thorough understanding of the concept, as needed.

Paragraph 2: Name and define the concept from CH 8, again either as a direct quote or using paraphrased language. Cite the page number and offer details as needed, as outlined above for Paragraph 1.

Paragraph 3: Explain the connection between the two concepts. This should not be something that is clearly outlined in the textbook! Rather, you are expected to make your connections in ways that show critical thinking.

Paragraph 4: Offer a specific example to help clarify this connection. The example can be personal, hypothetical, or based on a current event, historical event, or media sources such as a TV show, movie, or advertisement. You may also make a connection to specific content from another course or discipline. Personal and hypothetical examples do not need to be cited. Current and historical events, media examples, or outside course content should include a hyperlink to an outside source or full MLA citation as appropriate.
