For the assignment you will first create an AWS account (3 Marks). If you do not already have an AWS account, please create one. You can create your AWS account here:
https://aws.amazon.com/. When signing up you will need to verify your account using a phone and have a credit or debit card available to attach to your account.
Once you have created your AWS account, you need to
Create a new EC2 instance. AWS provides 750 hours of t2.micro instances free per month for 12 month for new accounts.

Once the EC2 instance is created, execute the given python script on the machine and save the text output. The output contains your name and student id along with information about your machine encoded. This output needs to be submitted for the assignment. (2 Marks)
Install AWS CLI.

Using aws ec2 run-instances, create a new EC2 t2.micro instance. (2 Marks)
Run aws ec2 describe-instances and save the text output. This output needs to be submitted for the assignment. (1 Mark)
Terminate your instances.
Submission
Your submission should be submitted to Moodle by 5th August. Your submission should include your full name, student id, AWS Account ID, the output of the python script, and the output of aws ec2 describe-instances, and a screenshot of your EC2 dashboard showing your created instances.
