Introduction to Project Management Individual Assignment 1 - MS Project Schedule Scenario: Your project is an expansion of device charging kiosks on Newnham campus of Seneca College. The project will bring benefits for students, employees, and professors across the entire campus. Correspondingly, individuals will not have to worry about running out of battery, hence they will be able to access and modify their work or notes at anytime, anywhere. The project goals include improving the efficiency for students and employees. Your customer Seneca College has approved the scope of work you proposed (as depicted in your WBS). Now it's time to determine how long it will take to arrange expansion of device charging stations. In other words, you're building the project's schedule. Assignment Instructions: Please use MS Project. If you're having difficulty accessing MS Project, you may use projectplan365.com. There is a link to a detailed LinkedIn Learning course on MS Project in Week 8 Content folder. 1. Write the structure of your schedule in MS Project using the WBS provided. 2. Add the duration estimates for each of deliverables using the WBS provided. 3. Add the predecessors using the WBS provided 4. Write milestones: Milestones are "markers" that help us determine if we are on track with getting the work done as planned. They signify the completion of a major deliverable. In determining your milestones, think about the work you would want to celebrate with your team and the communications you would want to have with stakeholders about major accomplishments. 5. Assign each task to a resource: Assigning resources helps us ensure we have clear roles and responsibilities on our project. This is critical in getting work done. Assume you have a team of at least 5 people. Write a resource pool using fictitious names, determine their capacity for the project, assume a reasonable hourly rate and assign these people to all the deliverables in the schedule. 6.
