is this a good research problem for bail reform or should more be inclued: The National bail system presently faces substantial barriers that adversely affect vulnerable communities and perpetuate inequality (Boldt, Boyd, Roberto, et al., 2021). This research study aims to conduct a qualitative study across the New England region, collecting information from individuals through surveys and interviews previously detained who had previously experienced detention due to the inability to pay bail, to assess the impact of such experiences on their lives (Doobie & Yang, 2021). By conducting a thorough analysis of the surveys, interview feedback, and other pertinent data, the assessments will examine the effects of the current bail system on defendants, extending beyond the boundaries of the justice system. Such implications resulted in significant financial burdens and substantial disruptions across various critical domains of life, including employment, housing, family dynamics, medical care, and mental health (Petersen, 2020). The objective of this study is to enhance the understanding of how bail reform can facilitate the development of a just legal system that ensures equity and dignity for all individuals, choosing rehabilitation and supportive programs over punitive measures (Doobie & Yang, 2021)
