Issue identified: How appropriate it may be for the CEO to be the decision-maker in the hiring process of an individual that obtained an interview using his referral. Should there be other processes in place to help the CEO make an unbiased decision? Leaving the choice solely up to him invites favoritism and bias. It is possible that due to the referral to hire this candidate coming from a top-level executive in the company, this candidate may be scrutinized more so than a typical hire from company peers
Selected Recommendation: Choose ONE of the identified issues and recommend action-oriented steps and managerial approach required to resolve the problem and allow productive progress and delivery of business value to your client. You may use course resources, observations and personal experience to support your recommendation. You want to be as persuasive as possible in order to convince your client to accept your recommendation and proceed toward implementing the action steps you have presented. Include a description of the approach, any resources or support required, and estimated time frame to initiate and complete. In many cases there will be a sequence of steps contained in you're commendation. You may want to cite references from your course resources that strongly support your recommendation. However, you will be graded on the strength of your rationale and the recommendations you present, not solely on the strength of your references. (your WHY?)
