Homework #: Converting ER Diagram to SQL Statements
Consider the below ER diagram for an online store database. Write SQL statements to create the corresponding relations and capture as many of the constraints as possible. If you cannot capture some constraints, explain why.
Assumptions:
Each customer may place many orders, but each order must be placed by one customer.
Each order must contain at least one product, and each product may be in many orders.
Each product must be supplied by one supplier, but each supplier can supply many products.
Each customer may have many forms of payment, but each payment method must belong to at most one customer. We are not interested in keeping the customer's payment information if the customer is removed from the database.
Submission Instructions
Type up your SQL CREATE TABLE statements for the above diagram. It may help to convert the ER diagram to relational schema first before converting it to the SQL CREATE TABLE statements. Submit the homework through the assignment link on Blackboard.
