It doesn't matter where you are from or what language you speak numbers remain the same. They help us explain scientific ideas clearly and accurately, that's why mathematics is called the language of science (2000). Math uses symbols and rules that are the same around the world, which make it easier for scientists to share their work. However, the words people use from mathematical calculation can change depending on the language they speak. Some words might sound similar and other completely different. For example, in Portuguese, addition is adio, subtraction is subtrao, multiplication is multiplicao, and division is diviso. In Arabic, they are (jam), (ar), (arb), and (qisma) In Spanish the words are sumar, restas, multiplicar and dividir(2025).
