It is proposed to replace R$-12$ by ozone friendly R$-134$a in a refrigeration plant of $10$TR capacity with evaporator and condenser temperatures of $0$C and $40$C respectively. Considering standard saturation cycle $($evaporator exit and condenser exit as saturated states$),$ compare the mass flow rate, compressor work $($in kW$),$ condenser heat rejection $($in kW$)$ and C$.$O$.$P for the two refrigerants.
