A simple survey was conducted among 12 households and obtained the noontime viewing hours: 2.5, 3, 4, 2, 1.5, 4, 1.75, 3.25, 1.25, 1, 2, 0.75. The population standard deviation is unknown and it is being estimated by the sample standard deviation of 1.11 hours.
