Tasks 1. Research two companies that sell a product or service to other businesses (business-to-business or B2B), rather than to consumers (business-to-consumer or B2C). The two companies must be competitors or sell similar products/services to similar customers. 2. Evaluate the websites of the two companies but also research other content such as social media, videos, and news articles. 3. Prepare a professional report that describes the companies and compares their approach to sales and marketing 4. Prepare an informative and engaging presentation for your class that is 3-4 minutes in length and be prepared to present this in Week 7. Report Components (20 marks) Your report must be 3-4 pages, not including a cover page. Submit your report as a PDF or in Word to Learning Hub/Assignments folder. Your report must include: Description of both companies: provide a description of the two companies, including the products or services they sell, their mission/vision/core values, and key brand statements. Customers:describe the customers they sell to; provide examples of companies that buy from each company. Sales and Marketing Communication: identify key messages each company uses to attract customers. State at least two of the benefits (or value propositions) each company suggests they offer to customers and identify one FAB statement. Also describe other ways they promote their products/services. Compare the effectiveness of the two companies: based on your research, provide a comparative analysis that suggests which company you think would be more effective. Support your opinion through your research, Citations: you will need to identify at least 4 sources for your information (the two company websites plus two others). State these within your report (ex: "Based on their YouTube video Why buy from us?, an important FAB statement is....). You may also cite your sources using the APA style, if you are familiar with this. Plagiarism: do not copy content from a company's website unless using a quotation and citing the source. Do not use the content of another student. Any plagiarism will be considered academic misconduct and may lead to automatic failure of this course
