Assignment $1$

This assignment uses the PopulationData Excel file, which contains country data provided by the World Bank. Three of the four questions $($the ones that require writing a formula$)$ are also shown in the Questions tab. The table containing all of the data is called $$tabCountryData$.$

For all questions, you must submit the formula that you used in column B$,$ NOT the result. For instance, the $2000$ population of Estonia $($in millions$)$ is $1\mathrm{.}4.$ Do not submit $1\mathrm{.}4.$ Submit the Excel formula you wrote that produced $1\mathrm{.}4.($The inputs in column A of the Questions sheet are there only as examples to help you check that your formula is doing what it$$s supposed to do$.)$

$1.$ Write a formula using a VLOOKUP or XLOOKUP function that retrieves the $2000$ population of the country in cell A$4.$

$2.$ Write an AVERAGEIF function that calculates the average population growth in a country $("$AvgPopGrowth$")$ for only those countries whose $2019$ population in millions $(2019$pop$)$ is greater than or equal to the number in cell A$6.$

$3.$ After you have finished the previous question, try entering a few different values into cell A$6.$ How does the result change? What does this tell you about the relationship between a country$$s population and its rate of growth?

$4.$ Write a formula using COUNTIF to determine how many entries in the $"2018$BirthRate" column are the text in cell A$9.$
