Jackie was listening to a colleague's presentation on restructuring, when out of nowhere the colleague began to talk about "why the company needs to downsize". Immediately, Jackie was thrown back by her colleague's suggestion, and began thinking of all the reasons she could to oppose the new plan. While planning her rebuttals, Jackie ended up missing important information; not that her colleague was suggesting downsizing of staff, but instead suggesting downsizing to a smaller physical space that would save the company money.
