Jake, while strolling on a beach, discovers Tom Harper unconscious and

facedown in the water. He saves Tom's life. Jake pulls Tom Harper administers first aid, and brings Tom Harper back to life. Jake receives many praise for saving the life of Henry, including a Certificate of Merit from the local fire department. Jake also receives a letter from Tom expressing his utmost appreciation and the sincerest of thanks. In his letter, Tom offers to pay jake $1000 per year for the next 10 years as a token of his appreciation. jake is surprised by the offer and replies by letter that he accepts the offer and will immediately make plans to donate the money to worthwhile charities. However, when Jake attempted to collect the first payment, Tom Harper states he has changed his mind and refuses to pay.
