JAVA NETBEANS HELP!

I need to make a word search generator for a homework assignment. I need it to either store words or pull words from a file.

The stored words or words in a file will then be added into the word search at random. It MUST be random!

I do not know if it is possible, but I would prefer the word list be able to be stored by catagory, and then have the random selection pull random words from a specific catagory.

The idea is to generate multiple puzzles based off the same groups of words.

For Example: Stored words:

Months of Year

January, February, Marc,h April, May, June, July, August, September, October, Novemeber, December

Seasons

Spring, Summer, Winter, Fall

Ocean Animals

Whale, Dolphin, Octopus, Shrimp, Barracuda, Lobste,r Clam, Coral, Crab, seal, sea turtle, Squid, Orca, Manatee, Stingray, Seahorse, Tuna, Starfish, Walrus, Jellyfish, Otter, Oyster, Shark, Salman

Now I need the random selection to pull only a FEW words from maybe all catagories or maybe only 2 catagories.

How would I do this???

output would be:

wordsearch (Matrix would be fine)

Find length of longest word randomly selected.

All puzzles should be 10 characters across...

Length (down) would be 14 or longest word randomly pulled.

Then display the words that were randomly pulled. so from the example words above it would be:

In this example it pulled words from only 2 of the 3 catagories and produced a 10 x 14 puzzle
