This is called global economics in which nations trade with each other. It is also called imports and exports of goods and services. This principle is a matter of perception, how one looks at relationships with another country. In 2020, President Donald Trump increased the tariff rate on imports from China. This was done as a means to curve imports from China which were coming in at an alarming rate. In this case, imports from China were hurting the domestic producers of the same goods. U.S. consumers were buying the imports faster than the domestic goods which was hurting the domestic markets. Energy resources such as crude oil have presented harm and good to the U.S. markets. The Chinese retaliated by increasing tariff on U.S. exports, especially in agricultural products. This caused problems for those States which produced for exportation agricultural product. One state that was affected was the State of lowa, a major corn producing State. Crude oil is a major import from mainly the OPEC Countries. These cartels have and do raise and lower the market price for crude oil which impacts gasoline prices at the pump for U.S. consumer. Other injuries to the U.S. markets are impacted from higher crude oil prices. Everything we buy is now affected from the increases in crude oil prices. The Oil Industry is also affected by changes in crude oil prices as well
