Lab exercise $3$: configuring the rsLogix $5000$ displayIn this lab exercise, we practice modifying the configuration for our routine window. Because this is a beginning ControlLogix class, we only look at some of the basic features in this lab. $1.$ Open the Software Introduction project if it is not already open from the last lab. $2.$ From the rSLogix $5000$ menu bar, select tools. $3.$ Click Options. You should see a window similar to that in Figure $2-21,$ with the application category displayed. $4.$ Note the project Directory section. this is where rSLogix $5000$ projects are stored. By default, the directory should read $$C:$\backslash$rSLogix$5000\backslash$projects$.$ If your path is dif$-$ferent, do not change it without obtaining your instructor$$s permission. $5.$ rSLogix $5000$ version $16$ has a Startup page that is displayed when the software is launched. Uncheck the box to disable this feature. $6.$ Verify that the check box is checked for the enable automatic project Backup feature. Change the number of backups to $3.7.$ Verify that the check box is checked for the enable automatic project recovery feature. Change the time value to the time period you desire. $8.$ Leave the remaining options as the default. $9.$ From the categories list, select Ladder editor$\mathrm{.}10.$ Select Display. You should see a window similar to that shown in Figure $2-26\mathrm{.}11.$ Uncheck Show rung Numbers$\mathrm{.}12.$ Uncheck Show rung Comments$\mathrm{.}13.$ Uncheck $3$D Instruction Display$\mathrm{.}14.$ Click apply$\mathrm{.}15.$ Notice how your routine window has changed. the three items you unchecked should not be displayed$\mathrm{.}16.$ Go back and recheck the three options you just unchecked$\mathrm{.}17.$ Click apply; they should be displayed again$\mathrm{.}18.$ Click Font$/$Color$,$ which is also under the Ladder editor category$\mathrm{.}19.$ From the Items list, select rung Comments$\mathrm{.}20.$ Click the down arrow associated with Background Color. You should see a color se$-$lection drop$-$down menu similar to that shown in Figure $2-27\mathrm{.}21.$ Select whichever color you want for your rung Comment background. additional colors are available by clicking the More Colors button$\mathrm{.}22.$ Change the Foreground Color to something you like$\mathrm{.}23.$ experiment in changing the ladder window color$\mathrm{.}24.$ Change the end rung color
