Question: Lab Insight: Apply the same steps in Lab 6 . 4 to the Alt Lab 6 . 4 Data.xlsx dataset. While Lab 6 . 4

Lab Insight: Apply the same steps in Lab 6.4 to the Alt Lab 6.4 Data.xlsx dataset. While Lab 6.4 contains data for transactions with customers, the Alt Lab 6.4 Data contain purchasing transactions with vendors/suppliers for raw materials, which will be converted into the beer that Slinte will sell to customers. A new data dictionary is presented in the Own the Data Section.
Required:
Create three pivot tables and pivot charts.
Pivot table 1 and (clustered) column chart: Raw_Materials_Description for Rows and Sum of Quantity_Purchased for Values
Pivot table 2 and (clustered) column chart: Raw_Materials_Description for Rows and Count of Purchase_Order_ID for Values (Count of Purchase_Order_ID indicates how many purchase transactions took place)
Pivot table 3 and line chart: Purchase_Order_Date for Rows and both measures (Sum of Quantity_Purchased and Count of Purchase_Order_ID) for Values
Create slicers and modify them so that the first is dashboard-level and the second is report-level. Name the slicers as indicated.
Slicer 1: Dashboard-level Supplier_St (for all pivot tables)
Slicer 2: Report-level Raw_Materials_Description (associated with Pivot Table 3 only)
Work with the slicers to present different versions of the reports in the dashboard.
Filter for only Arkansas (AR)

Filter for only Malt-Wheat
Data: Alt Lab 6.4 Data.xlsx
Specify the Question:
What quantity of raw materials was purchased from vendors/suppliers, and how many purchase transactions took place in each state?
What quantity of raw materials was purchased from vendors/suppliers, and how many purchase transactions took place in each state on each transaction date?
Obtain the Data: This lab uses the data in Alt Lab 6.4 Data.xlsx, which contains vendor transaction data for Slinte from January through June of 2026. The data dictionary for this file appears on the following page. The data include three worksheets/tables: Purchase_Orders, Suppliers, and Raw_Materials. In the Purchase_Orders worksheet/table, the data include an observation/row for each purchase transaction and type of raw material purchased. So, if a transaction included the purchase of two different raw materials, the dataset will have one unique Purchase_Order_ID with two rows (that is, one for each raw material type).
Analyze the Data: Alternate Labs don't have step-by-step instruction or video support. Apply your experience from the original lab. If needed, reference the text or eBook for instructions and steps from the original lab.
