Laboratory 2: Equivalent Resistance and Voltage Division - Instructions Lab Etiquette Following are some lab etiquette guidelines for all your labs at UTD as well as in lab environments in industry: No smoking in labs as smoke will damage the equipment. No eating or drinking in labs as you may damage the equipment. Arrive on time. Treat your instructors and lab partners with respect. Bring lab instructions and required components with you. Follow safety guidelines. At the end of your lab time, turn off all equipment and put it where it belongs. Leave your workstation at least as clean as you found it. Take all your belongings with you. Failure to follow these guidelines will result in points deducted from your lab grade. Lab 2 Instructions The purposes of this lab are to: provide hands-on experience building electronic circuits and improve understanding of how resistances combine in series and in parallel improve understanding of how voltage divides across series resistors.
