Larry cooked up what he thought was a fool-proof scheme to rob a bank and asked his friend Dillon to do it. Larry told Dillon that they should be sure to take a hostage with them in order to make their escape easier. Larry and Dillon discussed the plan at length and finally agreed to go ahead and rob the bank, but they rejected the hostage idea, as they did not want anyone to get hurt. The two agreed to split the funds. Larry showed up to rob the bank, but Dillon was not there. Dillon sent a text to Larry indicating, "Bad karma. Don't go in. I'm out." Larry read it and decided to go forward without Dillon. Larry went inside the bank and pulled a gun on one of the tellers, and demanded all the cash in her station threatening to shoot the teller if she did not comply. Fearful, the teller gave all the cash to Larry. Larry, then grabbed the teller and put his arm around her neck taking her hostage. He dragged her out of the bank while holding a gun on her.
