Laws, rules, and regulations all derive from a particular source that establishes and identifies each. For this activity, identify the sources of laws, rules, and regulations and provide examples of each. 

Constitutional Laws:

1. Where can constitutional laws be found?
2. Identify 3 federal constitutional laws.
3. Identify 3 Florida constitutional laws.

Statutory Laws:

1. Identify four crimes, either Group A or Group B (using NIBRS classification).
2. Pick and list two states
3. Identify the names of their penal/legal codes. (hint: this would be the name of the states written codes. For example, Arkansas' penal code is called Arkansas Code.)
4. Define each crime using each state's statutory definition.
5. Compare and contrast the definitions of each between your chosen state. For example, are they using the same terms to define them, or are they different?
6. Identify any issues to the ways that each state defines each crime.
7. Are there any race, class or gender disparities in the definitions.
8. Identify the name of the Federal Legal Code.
9. Define each crime using the Federal statutory definition.
10. Compare and contrast the definition with each state.
11. Are there any discrepancies?

Case Laws:

1. Identify two landmark cases for each of your chosen states.
2. What precedence did each case set?
3. What constitutional right was it based in? If any.
