1. Identify three Non-Value Adding activities or product components that you encounter in your daily life. Describe each service activity or product component, why it is NVA to you, and recommend what the provider should do to remove or minimize it, if possible.
2. Identify five of the Eight Deadly Wastes that you have experienced at work, home, or school. Name the waste, describe it and recommend how the waste could be reduced or eliminated.
3. Identify and conduct a 5S project that you could do at home, school, or your place of employment. For each of the 5 steps, define what you would do to address the situation. Describe the outcome.
4. Find and describe a minimum of two Poka Yokes not already discussed in class. Turns in a brief written report that describes what you have discovered and the practical implications of each mistake proof device finding. Use pictures or photos to help illustrate the poka yoke device.
