Library Research Project This week's Library Research Project assignment is to define a topic for your project in one or two sentences. Imagine that you have been given the assignment to create a team to do some major project work at the firm where you work. You would have to hire, train, form a team, manage the work, report, and manage the day-to-day operations. Your final paper (due in Week 7) will be to describe how you would go about fulfilling this assignment. The final paper should be 10-15 pages paper in WORD formatted per the Sample Student Paper shown in the APA Guide, 7th edition on pages 61-67. See grading rubric for more detailed grading criteria. Please use at least three sources for your paper. Submit your topic for approval in Blackboard in week 1 and your final paper in week 7. The purpose of this assignment is to familiarize students with the Online Library resources available at Everglades University. To access a search engine in the EU Online Library, log in to http://www.evergladeslibrary.com. In addition, the "Library and Information Resources Network (LIRN)" is a good resource to find general-purpose databases that should help you with your research. Two very good all-purpose databases are ProQuest and InfoTrac. Limit your search to "Scholarly journals" and "Full-text documents only." PLAGIARISM Do not make the mistake of "borrowing" text from a website or other source material without attribution. The writing assignments in this course are to be based on your personal experience and knowledge and not on the ideas or information provided by another writer. This is not to say that you may not occasionally embellish your writing with an appropriate quotation, statistic, or another tidbit. However, the source of information or author of the quote should be mentioned in the text using APA style. Any unauthorized copying or passing off the work of another as your own (also known as "plagiarism") will be dealt with harshly. Students receive an F for the assigned work and depending on the severity of the incident, may fail the course, be placed on probation, or be expelled from the University. Please be aware that it is generally very easy to detect cheating by copying, and it is simply not worth the risk to try it. Likewise, cutting and pasting materials from a website with minor alterations is still plagiarism
