Assign backup$\_$data with a copy of patients$\_$list using $[$:$].$

Assign selected$\_$patients with a slice of patients$\_$list that includes all the elements at the odd indices of patients$\_$list.

Assign spring$\_$tours with a slice of tours$\_$data from the beginning up to and excluding index slice$\_$length.

Assign summer$\_$tours with a slice of tours$\_$data from index slice$\_$length up to and excluding index $(2*$ slice$\_$length$).$

Assign fall$\_$tours with a slice of tours$\_$data from index $(2*$ slice$\_$length$)$ up to and excluding index $(3*$ slice$\_$length$).$

Assign winter$\_$tours with a slice of tours$\_$data from index $(3*$ slice$\_$length$)$ up to and including the end.
