In this project, three separate departments consisting of artificial intelligence, software and computer engineering came together with a total of nine students. In order for the project to be completed successfully, each student is assigned with specific duties and responsibilities.

In our responsibility matrix, the duties of each department and student are clearly determined. Collaboration between artificial intelligence, software and computer engineering departments will be ensured at every stage of the project, and each student will contribute to the success of the project by using their strengths in their field of expertise. Because responsibilities are clearly defined, communication will become easier and everyone will be able to focus more effectively on the overall goals of the project$\mathrm{.}2\mathrm{.}4.$ Gantt chart

Our project's Gantt chart lays out the progression of tasks over $15$ weeks, providing a visual roadmap for our team. This chart gives a clear view of the schedule and shows how different tasks are handled by various teams over time.

In week $1,$ all the groups $-$ who are focused on Artificial Intelligence, Backend, and Frontend $-$ start their tasks. The Artificial Intelligence, team aims to create a facial recognition machine learning model, working on this phase until week $6.$ Simultaneously, the Backend Team $-$led by Computer Engineers$-$ and the Frontend team $-$led by Software Engineers$-$ kick off their tasks, expecting to take $8$ and $11$ weeks, respectively. As the project moves forward, we see periods where these teams' efforts overlap, highlighting the need for teamwork and collaboration. This is evident as Integration tasks for all segments are scheduled to start around week $4$ and continue through week $10,$ ensuring that each part of the system is designed to work together smoothly.

Towards the end, starting week $9,$ the focus is on merging all subsystems, followed by extensive testing and optimization. After careful testing, in the last few weeks, the whole group spent time finishing documentation and getting ready for a final presentation. With all these, we aim to wrap up the whole project by week $15\mathrm{.}2\mathrm{.}5.$ Costs

For the scope of this project, no additional expenses are anticipated as it will rely on resources available through student personal computers. These computers will fulfill the requirements without the need for supplementary investments. The project structure involves designating one system to function akin to a server while a minimum of two other systems will act as clients. This arrangement facilitates the distributed setup necessary for federated learning, allowing data processing and model training across multiple devices without centralizing resources. Therefore, the project aims to leverage existing personal computer resources, ensuring cost$-$effectiveness and accessibility for the implementation of the proposed federated learning$-$based face recognition system.
