To contribute to improving the health status of marginalized and vulnerable population by enhancing access and utilization of quality assured health services through health system strengthening and health promotion with community engagement.

Outcome 1

Local governments will have OHS integrated resilient health system to provide quality assured inclusive health care services to marginalized and vulnerable communities

Output 1.1: Local health system and facilities are enabled for quality assured Occupational Health and Safety integrated primary health services (i.e. OHS, SRHR and MPHSS) to vulnerable populations (WWs, female WWs and farmers and women)

Activities:

Improve the technical capacity of health care providers to offer curative and preventive care to marginalized and vulnerable people

Establish dedicated and friendly health service facilities for vulnerable and marginalized communities

Collaborate with Family Welfare Division for capacity building and accreditation of safe abortion sites

Support for medical services (SRH camps) for vulnerable groups (women farmers, waste workers and people from diverse gender and sexual identities) for primary prevention, early diagnosis and treatment of SRH problems

Output 1.2: Health facilities are strengthened for good governance and quality management to deliver OHS integrated health care services

Activities:

Strengthening Health Facility Operation and Management Committees (HFOMCs) for good governance

Implement MSS (minimum service standard) approach (training, assessment, action plan and resource mobilization) to address the Quality Improvement issues

Gender Sensitive SRHR services (Safe Abortion Service, Family Planning, GBV response, MHPSS and adolescent health, Minimum Initial Service Package) are delivered through local health facilities

Ensure climate resilient health care system are adapted to deliver quality health services during emergencies

Support local government to enroll the health facilities (UHPCs and Primary Hospitals) as NHI first service point at communities

Outcome 2

Collaborate with local government and communities for environmental and occupational health risk mitigation and promotion of SRHR through advocacy and active community engagement

Output 2.1: Integrate Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) into local health system

Activities:

Incorporate OHS approach for occupational and environmental risk mitigation targeting waste worker and farmer groups

Integration of OHS initiatives into annual operational plan of Local Governments

Establish OHS consultation and treatment sites in existing health facilities to provide support and health care to vulnerable and marginalized populations

Output 2.2: Promote effective OHS, environmental risk mitigation practices and SRHR (sexual and reproductive health and rights) promotion behaviours among vulnerable groups

Activities:

Support to implement gender-sensitive (female WWs and farmers) interventions to address the reproductive health issues

SRH camps for vulnerable groups (women farmers, waste workers and people from diverse gender and sexual identities

Establish dedicated and friendly health service facilities for 'people from diverse gender and sexual identities' in UHPCs

Community based peer education initiative for sensitization on promotive and preventive health behaviours among groups of waster workers and Farmers

Promotion of protective health behaviours (PPEs, TD vaccination etc.) among vulnerable populations (WWs and farmers)

Engage FCHVs (female community health volunteers) and HMGs (health mother's groups) for community sensitization for health promotion and establish referral linkages for health services (OHS, SRH, MHPSS, NHI etc.)

Outcome 3

Championing at local and national arena with evidence and capitalize the impactful learnings for Environmental Health advocacy

Output 3.1: Evidence generation and Advocacy to ensure the health rights of marginalized and vulnerable communities

Activities:

Establish GESI sensitive health initiatives at local government planning and budget system for the communities

Generate evidence through scientific research on impact analysis of project interventions (UHPC approach), gap analysis (i.e. NHI scheme and out-of-pocket expenditure)

Support annual review and planning workshop of local and provincial health authorities

Conduct HMIS and LMIS data verification and validation workshop at local health facilities for proper recording and reporting system supporting in evidence-based advocacy

Strengthening three tiers of government for occupational health and safety of informal workers

Output 3.2: Capitalization of learning gathered during the project implementation

Activities:

Generation, documentation and publication of evidence, best practices and lesson learnt throughout the project

Conduct cross sites visits for learning sharing
