Make a reply to the following statement...
The U.S Patriot Act was made after the tragic event of September 11, 2001. The U.S Patriot Act essentially is a legal way for governments to investigate citizens' personal information to prevent any future potential terrorism. This Act gives the government the right to monitor citizens' every move, tracking any digital data that would interest the government. Compared to the average business their purpose is different but the intent is still there. Businesses are not very far off from the U.S Patriot Act. Although they do not try to prevent terrorism, they only collect personal data from potential customers. The purpose of this is to gather as much data from people so they can potentially buy a business product or service. They all do this without the people knowing or without their consent. We found out only recently that our data is being taken and sold to companies. Our privacy is always being monitored one way or another legally by the government or companies.
