MAKING THE FAST PITCH The 90-second presentation will likely only include 120-150 words, and will be a revised version of the business concept write-up that you submitted. Content-wise, most of what is expected in a write-up is also expected in the fast pitch.

Your fast pitch needs to accomplish three (3) things:

1. It needs to make the listener say wow, that is interesting!

2. It needs to communicate that there is a clear, identifiable business opportunity.

3. It needs to get them interested enough to want to talk to you and ask questions.

With regard to point #2, you should strive to include information such as:

WHAT is it you are proposing to do

what product or service are will you be selling?

WHO needs the product/service (who are the customers do they represent a large and growing market?)

WHERE will you sell the product/service?

WHO are your current competitors?

HOW big is the market (how attractive is it)?

HOW will you make money? (i.e. what is your business model?)
