Purpose of Assignment:

To help you understand and make the connection between what you are studying in class and a realworld management situation. Improve writing and interview skills. Improve presentation skills.

Due Date:

The final paper is due by midnight on May $10($last day of class$).$ You may complete this earlier and turn in your paper at any time, however, if you choose to complete the assignment early it will require you to read the chapters in the text in advance of the scheduled class time as the content of the chapters are a key component of the assignment.

Assignment:

You will work independently on this assignment. You may conduct your interview in person, via an internet platform $($Zoom for example$)$ but not on the phone, as the face$-$to$-$face options will likely improve the quality of your interview. Please note the method you use for your interview on the cover page.

Interview a manager in today's work environment who has between $10-50$ people reporting to him$/$her$.$ If you would like to interview someone with more or less than this amount, send me a message and I may approve your request. You may interview a family member, someone from your current or past employment, a friend or neighbor, anyone who fits the above criteria. If you know an industry or company you would like to work in$,$ someone from that company$/$industry would be an ideal interview subject. If you are unable to find someone to interview, please let me know in a reasonable amount of time and I will introduce you to someone whom you may interview.
