Many employers require a criminal background check, some even require a credit check, but in today's world many employers now conduct online screenings of their current and potential employees web pages. With that in mind, respond to the following questions.

• How do you feel about employers accessing your personal web pages, like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram accounts, and other "online" pages associated with your name? Do you think this information can be valuable to employers, or do you think it violates an employee's/candidate's personal privacy? Why?
• Do you know anyone or have you heard any specific news stories where someone's online activities have gotten them into trouble with their employer (this can include comments/images posted outside of work or misuse of the internet during working hours)?
• Do you pay attention to the "public" impression your make with your web presence? Have you ever posted anything online that, looking back, you'd hope an employer never saw?
• And how do you know what is appropriate and what is not appropriate to post? How could you use what you've learned in this class to ensure your web presence maintains professionalism?
