Many HR positions will require the ability to update, create and maintain HR policies. This assignment will have you draft a policy from scratch. In the HR world there are many sites and resources for policy templates, and it will often be perfectly acceptable to use these templates. For this assignment, it is my expectation that you write this policy yourself. That said, using web-based research for key words and terminology is acceptable. Directly copy and pasting sentences is not. Please draft an acceptable Dress Code Policy for an organization. You may make any assumptions you need for your policy (TE/ uniformed, not uniformed, business casual, professional, etc). The purpose of this assignment is for practice in policy drafting. There are many sample policies if you browse online, you may use any template you feel most comfortable with. This assignment will not be marked for containing specific sections - you may structure the policy based on what you feel is appropriate. Each organization you may find yourself employed in will have different standards. RBC's dress code will look fundamentally different from Toronto General Hospital. Please ensure the policy is professional, clearly written and doesn't contain contradictory information or loopholes for the employees to exploit.
