Many students have never used Access before taking this class, but that does not mean you are not familiar with database applications! If you give it a little thought, you will realize you are often using databases of information (or at least having someone else access the information for you) when you shop or surf the net.

Think about it and then answer these 2 questions.

1. Where have you seen database programs in practice, in your personal life, when you are at school, or at work? Note: You dont have to know the name of the program. You just have to realize that in certain situations, a database must have been used.

2. Give an example of how you could use Access or another database program to organize collections of your own data at home or at work
