Question:
Marriage and children are strongly represented in the tax code, from filing status to dependency to child credits to transfers. What do you think about the place that these relationships have on the tax code? Siblings that care for each other or adults that care for their parents do not have the same standing.
Also, what do you think of the tax brackets for Singles relative to Married Filing Jointly, Married Filing Separately, and Head of Household? Are married people sufficiently "rewarded" or "penalized"? What would be suggestion?
