Question:
Martha ran a wine business at Causeway Bay that specialised in selling rare vintage red wine from Bordeaux, France. When she opened the business in 2000, it was at small rental space in Sham Shui Po. In 2008, she started to advertise her business on social media and by 2012 the business had grown to a size where she could not run the business solo and she needed help to keep the business growing. In December 2012, it was agreed over a social gathering that Martha would keep the business going for another 6 years and then retire. Eleanor, best friend of Martha’s eldest daughter and aged 15, would help out at Martha’s wine business and in return, Eleanor would receive all the unsold red wine upon Martha’s retirement. When Martha retired at the end of 2018, she gifted all the unsold red wine to Salvation Army. Advise Eleanor.
