Title: Design and analysis of an Automobile suspension system.
Design Overview:
A simple model of an automobile suspension system consists of elastic springs and viscous damper as shown in Figure 1. The car can vibrate in the vertical direction while traveling over a rough road. Each axle and wheel combination of the car has a mass of ml . Design the stiffness parameters (suspension stiffness, kl , and damping coefficient, b) that can be used for the car if the chassis mass is 1903.2 kg .(quarter car sprung mass, \(\mathrm{m}2=\) chassis mass/4). The range of stiffness parameters for your design is given in the following table. Provide specific arguments to support your design selections and discuss why you have chosen those for this model.

Input displacement (Disturbance): \( u \), Output displacement: \( y \)
