Q$\mathrm{.}1.$ Figure $1($a$)$ shows a section of column base foundation of Type $\backslash (\backslash$mathrm$\{$X$\},\backslash$mathrm$\{$Y$\}\backslash )$ and Type Z $.$ In accordance with the Hong Kong SAR Standard Method of Measurement for Civil Engineering Works, $1992$ Edition, and using the following information:

$-$ Measure the items of earthwork, concrete, formwork and steel bar reinforcement for the column base foundations.

$($Total : $15$ Numbers for Type X$,8$ Numbers for Type Y and $16$ Numbers for Type Z$.)$

$-$ All excavations are in materials other than rock or artificial hard materials.

$-$ Excavated materials are suitable for filling.

$-$ Disposal of excavated materials shall be in tips provided by the Contractor.

Specification:

Reinforced concrete mix for base Type X$-$ grade $40/20$D

Reinforced concrete mix for base Type Y and Z $-$ grade $45/20$D

Reinforced concrete mix for column Type X and Z$-$grade $40/20$D

Reinforced concrete mix for column Type Y$-$ grade $35/20$D

Blinding concrete for all column bases$-$grade $20/20$S

Cement $-$ Ordinary Portland Cement to BS $12$

Steel reinforcement $-$Mild steel or High yield bars to BS $4449$

Formwork to all concrete bases $-$ F$2$

Formwork to Type X and Z concrete column $-$ F$3$

Formwork to Type Y concrete column $-$ F$4$

Complete the Measurement and Billing for the column base foundation.
