Memory performance declines with older age. Some hypothesize that memory performance declines the more physical symptoms that you report. A researcher tested 72 subjects on a recall test asking them to recall a list of fifty words presented one at a time. The age of each subject was also noted. In addition, each participant completed a physical symptom questionnaire in which they reported how many physical symptoms that they suffer from. The larger the number the more physical symptoms they are reporting. A data set labeled Table 1: Total Recall Results Chart has 72 sets of data with each subject's recall age (age), number of physical symptoms (numsymp), and score (recall) noted.
