Blog Instructions

This discussion item is more of a task with some discussionand is broken up into two steps, starting in Module 4 and continues intoModule 5.

So step one is simple- I would like you to come up with a time estimate in minutes that it would take you to individually change a car tire on an automobile. You may use a chart to list the tasks and timings out. For example, using my morning task of boiling four eggs for breakfast chart might look like:

Activity

Time

Fill pot with water and set on stove burner

1 min.

Bring put with water to boiling point

3 min.

Pierce 4 eggs at each end and place in pot with boiling water

1 min.

Boil eggs for 10 minutes

10 min.

Remove from stove and place pot with eggs in cold water

1 min.

Peel eggs and place in bowl

1 min.

Total

16 min.

Assuming that you can pierce the eggs and place them in the put just as it comes to a boil, you should be able to save some time off the third action.

If you are unfamiliar with changing a car tire, then consult the web (it is full of solutions, even DIY videos). What I would like to see is, at the very least a total time estimate, if you include details as above- even better,in minutes and some thoughts about the process you used. Same rubric evaluation for discussion applies to this.

NOTE: If you do use a chart, then I suggest using a spreadsheet program such as MS Excel or MS Word and then pasting it into BB; the chart feature in BB is hopelessly difficult to use!
